Sandy Hook

Today's waves are unimpressive at just 1.4 ft, despite an E swell hitting straight on. The sandbars and jetties work well to shape the fast pointbreak, but the low-mid tide is suboptimal for maximum performance. With a cross-shore N wind blowing at 16 mph, it’s putting unwanted texture on the face of the waves, making them choppy and unrideable throughout the day.
