Ride it or run it

The next contest needs competitors and it needs a crew. Put your name against either.

Where this stands

The club is registered with the state.
An insurance partner is in place.
A cash prize pool of over $1,250 is agreed, and the club expects to raise more.

Sponsors will not talk to an organisation that is neither registered nor insured. Both are now sorted, which is what put money on the table.

Why there is no date

Prize money that size has to be surfed for. Nobody competes for it in mush, so the contest runs on real swell and waits for it. Expect a waiting period rather than a date fixed months ahead.

If the crew does not come together, it parks. The registration does not expire, the insurance does not expire, and the prize money is not going anywhere.

What happens to this

Your details go to the club and nowhere else. Nothing is published, and nobody is added to a mailing list. The club reads the list when it plans the contest, so a reply comes from a person and takes as long as it takes.
